Inner Child, Inner Buddha

Healing Early Childhood
with Somatic Internal Family Systems
with Ralph De La Rosa

Adverse experiences in our earlier years can set us up for a lifetime of repeat emotional cycles, behavioral cycles, limiting beliefs, and complications in intimacy. The good news: we can reparent ourselves. We can offer love and wisdom to the inner child parts of us stuck in unmet needs, resentment, pain, and low self-esteem. With compassionate attention, we can heal these parts of us and reclaim lost aspects of our childlike nature (e.g. spontaneity, creativity, play, joy). In this way, our inner children can really become our highest teachers.

“What would it be like to be a loving presence for whatever arose within you?” -Adyashanti

In this workshop, we’ll focus on exactly this through simple, somatic movement practice and meditation.  Bringing together the wisdom of Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems and Tibetan Buddhism, we will reach for new insight and deeper access to self-compassion.

In this workshop you’ll…

→ learn the five core somatic expressions of children

→ experience these expressions in a healing movement practice accessible to anyone

→ receive a recording of the meditations we practice

→ practice meditation techniques for reparenting inner children

The truth is, there's only one thing that can truly satisfy us in a lasting way: awakened self-love and compassion. Each of us already have it inside, but it does get covered over. When we re-discover and apply these capacities, these wholeness we seek comes naturally.

“Ralph is a rare find, a teacher that exudes compassion and wisdom that combines spirituality, psychotherapy, and parts work. But more importantly it is his humanness that is a lighthouse for so many students. In a sea of teachers, he stands out as the real deal, walking a path of humility, service, and deep commitment to change."
