A 12-MONTH IMMERSION IN

EMBODIED MINDFULNESS | LOVINGKINDNESS | TONGLEN (EMOTIONAL ALCHEMY)
IFS-STYLE PARTS WORK | TRAUMA AWARENESS

PSYCHOLOGY + PHILOSOPHY + TEACHING IT + HOLDING SPACE FOR IT

ALL FROM RALPH’S 20 YEARS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

BEGINS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, 2025

WE ARE THE FORTUNE ONES
The light bearers, the shadow workers, the alchemists, the wounded healers,
the change makers intent on compassionate action.

We have come so far.
And the world around us is in deep need.
Our hearts won’t rest until we make the journey of radical altruism.

AMPLIFY is a one-of-a kind immersive training for those who want to greatly deepen their own inner process while learning to offer profound inner work to others. Whether you’re coming from the teaching side of things or the clinician/coach/1:1 helper side of things, this training will enrich you inside and out in ways no one can anticipate.

We will explore meditation + its Buddhist underpinnings as well as IFS + its psychoanalytic + trauma-focused underpinnings all as one integrated whole.

We will begin in a simple, grounded place and slowly build into greater complexity as we go.

Teachers will benefit from learning how to coach (even if you don’t plan on coaching), 1:1 workers will benefit from learning how to teach (even if you don’t plan to teach), neophytes will open to a broad spectrum of possibilities, and everyone will greatly deepen their own knowledge base, personal healing, and practical skills.

We will cover the following ground:

  • How to teaching shamatha, metta, and tonglen (mindfulness, lovingkindness, compassion) meditation

  • The culture, history, and intentions behind these practices that were so generously given to us

  • Looking at these practices through a parts work/IFS lens and incorporating parts work into them

  • Seeing clients and students as interdependent with their social environments and considering their intersectional location

  • How to properly structure and pace practices

  • Developing your own scripts for each of the practices and processes you learn

  • The Internal Family Systems (IFS) theoretical model

  • The core parts work processes and how to use beginning stage processes with Managers and Firefighters

  • How to lead foundational parts work meditation

  • How to think within the model

  • Trauma theory (inclusive of understanding how power and privilege work)

  • Trauma sensitivity vs. trauma focus

  • Avoiding and addressing overwhelm in clients and students

  • How to not just talk, but transmit (aka deepening your experience of Self-energy)

  • Writing talks and public speaking

  • How to handle Q + A and discussion periods

  • Appropriate boundaries and having a healthy identity as a teacher/practitioner

  • Marketing basics and developing a public presence

  • Legal considerations

Structure of the course

  • One Saturday immersion per month (9am-4pm Pacific Time; 12pm-7pm Eastern TIme)

  • Two Thursday evenings per month (5-7pm Pacific Time; 8-10pm Eastern Time)

  • Extra times/options for Thursday sessions can be added if enough requests are received so do write me if this is desired

  • Small, peer led groups meeting once a month at a time TBD by your cohort

  • Optional to add-on mentorship sessions with a close student of Ralph’s previous trainings

  • Mandatory in-person five day graduation retreat October 2026 (dates and location TBA; most likely East Coast)

  • Breaks and schedule adjustments will be negotiated as we go

The teaching approach you will experience

My approach to teaching this material reflects the nature of the work you are endeavoring to embody. You are here to learn how to have spiritual, emotional, and psychological conversations—and to know from direct experience what you are talking about. You are here to facilitate processes and practices in atmospheres where there is definitely a plan—but anything can happen at any time and you will never know what other people are thinking. There is profundity, uncertainty, a need for community—and a great need for attuned listening, well-informed flexibility, and dealing with unknowns. You have to be able to think for yourself and be in touch with your own sense of empowerment. My goal is to give you everything you need to move in the direction of this kind of confidence and to continue growing beyond the limits of this course.

As such, we simply begin in a logical and foundational place and start having spiritual and philosophical conversations right away. You begin teaching to your classmates right away. We begin dealing with the anxiety and nervousness you might suddenly be feeling right away. We will get to know one another and feel things out as a collective from there. We will definitely cover all the bullet points listed above (and more), but the syllabus will develop as we go. You will also be given handouts as we go so that by the end of the course you will have a full training manual. There is a plan but I won’t know what it is until we are with each other, exploring. This is how I hold space for others, how I develop online courses, how I show up for in-person events, and it is how I will teach this material as well. The absolute core of this training will be you developing your your practice, your inner process, your healing, and your experiential knowledge.

The bedrock of such a process must be emotional safety, unconditional support, and an atmosphere rooted in compassion and belonging. This is an exploration, a process of discovery, and a bit of a “trust fall.” There will be no right or wrong, only what we are discovering and exploring together. And you do not have to believe in yourself to do this. You just have to get started and keep going.

Who this training is not for:

  • Practitioners motivated by career, influencer status, and money more than they are service and compassion

  • Practitioners comfortable with facilitating parts work but not doing parts work themselves

  • Practitioners comfortable with teaching meditation while not meditating consistently themselves

  • Folks currently struggling with severe mental health challenges such as active suicidal urges, unchecked personality disorders, or untreated psychopathy
