TEACHER + GUIDE TRAINING
INTEGRATING BUDDHISM + INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS
PRESENCE | HEARTFULNESS | COMPASSION
JANUARY - OCTOBER 2023
Open to those who wish to lead meditation, already do, or simply want to internalize the principals of practice in a lasting way.
PRE-REQUISITES
You are very familiar with Ralph’s style and approach to teaching
You consider yourself a dedicated practitioner of meditation with solid experience under your belt (ideally 3+ years)
You consider yourself very experienced with parts work, the fundamental tenets of IFS, and have experienced the unburdening and integration steps of parts work directly
Your intention is more compassion-oriented than career-oriented
THIS IS CRUCIAL WORK
To guide others into their inner worlds is nothing to be taken lightly. Though many stumble into the role these days, it was never meant to be this way.
Meditation is not a mere activity for wellbeing. It is an invitation into something vast, possibly endless; a realm where things once thought of as impossible become probable. To guide meditation is to be a steward into experiences none of us understand fully. Hence, we must approach with respect and clear intention.
That said, it is also what each of us are here to do: to become guides unto each other.
It is what we must do in some way.
Our hearts won’t rest until we make the journey of radical altruism.
In so many ways, the path has tricked us. We came to this practice for our own relief, an endeavor we thought would be straightforward enough. It turned out to be anything but. Once we stepped foot on this path, the path itself began to reveal its own agenda — to take us the full distance. The full distance is the ultimate and final liberation of all beings without exception. We have no other choice! We must restore ourselves to our true compassionate nature and be a lantern for others to do the same.
Every workshop you have ever taken was a teacher training whether you knew it or not.
Beyond the grandiosity of these statements, it is all also simple and light.
We start where we are and take one step at a time from there.
This is the view of AMPLIFY:
To teach and to guide meditation is simply an advanced way of being a student, an organic outgrowth of what we’ve already been doing.
